Hi beautiful

My name is Sahar. (سحر)  In Farsi it means "dawn".

I work with women who have been holding it together for a long time.

Women who are capable, caring, and deeply alive , and yet somewhere along the way, lost the thread back to themselves. My work is about finding that thread again. Not by fixing anything. But by coming home to the body, to the breath, to the part of you that was never actually broken.

I am a somatic coach, a Sufi practitioner, and a whirling dancer. I was born in Iran and have lived in the Bay Area for many years. I work in English and Farsi, and I hold a particular tenderness for women of the Persian diaspora , though the longing to feel like yourself again knows no borders.

My approach weaves together somatic practice, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and the wisdom of movement, including Earth Sama, a free-form, right-turning whirling practice rooted in the Sufi tradition. I believe healing doesn't happen in the mind alone. It happens in the body, in the room, in the moment you finally stop bracing and let yourself be held.
